Available: Questions of Faith I — Fact and Faith
What is religion? Why is it even worth thinking about? In Questions of Faith I: Fact and Faith (BT850), our newest online course, Dr. Ian A. H. Bond takes students through an exploration of the philosophy of religion. No previous background in religious studies or philosophy is required. The only requirement for taking this course is an inquiring mind and an open-hearted interest in finding answers to the “big questions” of religion, existence, life, and eternity. This study considers the major questions of this discipline: Does God exist? If God is all-powerful and all-good, why is there suffering? Is there life after death? Course Objectives After completion of this course, students will be able to:
Explain the arguments for and against the existence of God
Argue the causes for and against life after death
Critically evaluate how these theologies affect the modern church
Become aware of the various religious and philosophical issues confronting us today and gain proven reasoning techniques when approaching major questions. Enroll in Dr. Bond's new course Questions of Faith I: Fact and Faith (BT850) today.
